About the play
Utilizing songs from John Denver, one of America’s most cherished songwriters and performers, A MOMENT IN TIME, is about a marine in Afghanistan who, moments before a battle, recalls a safer, happier place. The new musical will get its world premiere at Five Towns College, Dix Hills, New York, on June 25-27, 2010.
Four-time Tony winning producer, Stewart F. Lane is set to direct A MOMENT IN TIME. He has directed across the country productions of THE FOREIGNER, AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’, THE GOLDEN AGE, FRANKENSTEIN, FINAL APPEAL with Chazz Palminteri and Stephen Baldwin and IN THE WINGS with Shannon Doherty. His playwriting credits include IN THE WINGS and IF IT WAS EASY, nominated for the American Theatre Critics Association’s New Play Award.
